What is the treatment process like?
The journey towards implant retained dentures begins with a personalised consultation at Nuvo Dental. During this consultation, we’ll review your oral health history, discuss available options, and determine the most suitable treatment plan for you. Our dentists will also perform a cone beam CT scan to assess the condition of your jawbone, as the success of implants relies on sufficient healthy bone structure.
Once the planning stage is complete, you’ll return to our clinic for the placement of your dentures. This is a treatment that is performed in two stages. First, the titanium pegs (implants) will be placed under local anaesthesia to ensure your comfort. After a waiting period of a few months for proper integration of the implants, we’ll attach your custom-made dentures securely to the implant abutments. In the meantime, a temporary denture can be provided to you.
